Hi all,
Well, I’m doubly excited today! Firstly this is my first official Blog Hop – check out the very cute kitten in the logo design, if only my kitty wouldn’t claw me to ribbons if I tried to put her in a Santa hat.
The rather fab Christmas Blog Hop run by Drea at the Blog Hop Spot consists of around 150 authors and bloggers, you can find a full list on the site here if you’d like to go visit some of the others. There’s lot of great authors, Christmas themed posts and great giveaways.
I was trying to think of something very exciting to post about for the blog hop – but luckily it’s also release day for me and not much is going to beat that for excitment (well for me anyway – if you’re all sick of me squeeing about it now then oops, sorry :))
So, yes, today is D-Day for my very first release – An Angel for the Tree. It’s been a rather surreal journey – and I never imagined when I first started scribbling only about a year ago then it this would happen so fast. I’m so thankful to Breathless Press for giving me a chance – and everyone I’ve come into contact with there, from editors to cover artists to fellow authors, has been so wonderfully supportive and helpful.
Anyway, before this starts to sound suspiciously like an oscar speech, here are the details for An Angel for the Tree.
Blurb
Daniel Everett is a modern day Scrooge, he has no time for peace on earth or goodwill. A disastrous former marriage has taught him that people are only out for what they can get. He contents himself with running several successful businesses and hiring a succession of nannies to care for his small daughter.
His life is turned upside down this Christmas when his current nanny leaves and is replaced by Laurel – who unbeknown to him is a real life angel, who is determined to help Daniel feel again and to reconnect him with his daughter. What neither of them bank on is the sparks that fly between them.
As Laurel starts to thaw Daniel’s icy exterior, can he learn to trust again and start to believe in the impossible – and can they ever overcome the obstacles of coming from two separate worlds?

And since I’m very excited and in a Christmassy, giving mood today I’m offering one copy free. Just leave a comment below telling me what you’re looking forward to about Christmas and I will randomly pick someone when the blog hop ends on Monday. If I pick you and you’ve already bought it – cause you know, I don’t want to discourage you from that 🙂 – then I’ll send you something random and Christmassy (it’s a surprise because I don’t know what it will be yet, lol) and pick a second winner for the book giveaway! See how I look after you? In fact I’ll even start you off 🙂
I’m looking forward to seeing my wonderful family, having a rather long-overdue break from work – where I can hopefully catch up on both my writing and my towering ‘to read’ pile – and hopefully seeing if Santa brings me anything. I’ve been good, honest! (you can stop laughing now). Can’t wait to hear yours…
