Wicked Warriors Halloween Blog Hop

Hi all,

Well, it’s creeping towards Halloween and today I’m joining in on the ‘Wicked Warriors’ Halloween Blog hop. There’s a grand prize to win of a Kindle Paperwhite and lots of author goodies. It’s also into the last few days of my rafflecopter giveaway – so lots of chances to win!

wicked warriorsNow the theme is obviously ‘Wicked Warriors’ – which I guess means different things to all of us. There’s a lot of spectulation that romance readers want to read about ‘bad boys’ that are magically tamed by the heroine somehow. Is that a bit too much fantasy? To be fair, when I’m reading I like my heroes to have a bit of a back story – and sometimes it can be sweet to see the contrast between the side they show the rest of the world and the side the heroine can coax out of them (or should that sometimes be ‘drag out of them kicking and screaming’!) It’s for their own good 🙂

In my new release, ‘Love Reawakened’ our hero, Garret, is a necromancer – so literally involved in what you might call ‘wicked’, he’s been battered, bruised and probably scared away everyone who tried to get close to him – including our heroine previously. In fact, it’s only due to completely dire circumstances and having no where else to turn that makes Emma even consider setting eyes on him again. I’ll give you a sneak peak of the moment:

She sighed and perched on the edge of the now cleared sofa. He matched his house, she thought wryly. Masculine, rough round the edges and getting more battered by the day. He’d always looked tough, close-cropped hair, usually days’ old stubble, lean and muscular. He’d never make cover boy material but she’d liked that. Now, though, he looked wearied, dark circles under his eyes, and a set to his jaw that hadn’t been there before. He never did look after himself.
She pushed the thoughts aside. It was none of her business what he did anymore. Once she had thought it might be, but that had ended in her being completely humiliated and she was so not going there again. Besides, she had bigger priorities right now.

If you’re intrigued then the full blurb is here:

LoveReawakened_200x300Emma Strachan is a professional witch and quite frankly a zombie raising should be all in day’s work. Now, though, something has gone horribly wrong and with lives on the line Emma is forced to turn for help to the one person she never wanted to see again.

When Emma shows up on Garret’s doorstep he knows she must be in trouble-after all nothing else would bring her to his door. Still, he never imagined a zombie gone rogue, or that the blazing attraction between them would be as strong as ever.

As Emma and Garret risk their lives to track down the missing zombie can they put aside past insecurities and trust in each other-before it’s too late.

Yup, it has zombies too (the necromancer was a bit of a hint, right?). Perfect Halloween reading – but not quite scary enough to need to hide behind the couch for! The buy links are here:
