Hi all,
Well, it’s been all go lately! As some of you are aware my main publisher, Breathless Press, closed its doors at the start of the month. Sadly it’s a tough environment for small publishers at the moment, and they made the decision to call it a day before they ended up getting into any difficulties or messing around their authors. It’s been a sad time – they were the first people (well in a commercial environment anyway!) to believe in my writing, and to give me an opportunity to be able to do what I love. Not to mention the talented staff and fellow authors there have been wonderfully supportive and always willing to help.
This has also left me in the situation where the majority of my books had their rights reverted back to me and were pulled from sale. It’s been a bit of a dilemma with what to do with them now, and while one or two have been subbed elsewhere, and will hopefully find new homes, I’ve decided that a couple will now be self-published.
It’s been a learning curve figuring out different sites, different formats, re-editing, and making my own covers (it’s certainly given me a new appreciation for having a team behind you to deal with that!) but Scarlett Legacy is now ready for re-release this Friday – and has a shiny new cover to go with it! Would love to know what you think 🙂
Blurb:
What if the fairy tales were not only real, but had it all wrong? Come meet a Big Bad Wolf like you’ve never seen before.
When Natalia rents a holiday cottage she is looking for peace and quiet, a place to reassess her life and recover from her failed relationship. Instead she finds a man who turns her world upside down.
However, people and things are not as they seem, and Natalia begins to find that legends are real and fairy tales have a basis in reality. As she grows closer to the enigmatic Damian she finds herself tested as danger and passion go in hand in hand, and everything she thought she knew about the world will be questioned.
After years of waiting Damian had given up hope that he would ever find his destined mate, and he certainly never expected her to be a sassy American who has no idea that his world even exists. Can he convince Natalia to believe in the impossible, and more importantly, can he protect her from those who seek to destroy his people.
Eek! Am getting excited now 🙂 Better get back to work!
Take care x
