A to Z Challenge – Y for Yellowstone

 

Hi all,

Yes, I have missed a few days *hangs head* This week has slightly got away from me, but hopefully can at least finish the last two days. Today is Friday after all, so yay for weekend and should be able to get caught up 🙂 Today is also the letter Y and I’m going for Yellowstone Park in the United States. Those wolf fans may be aware that wolves were reintroduced into the park in 1995 after a long period of absence, but you not be aware of the amazing changes that have happened to the park due to this. Below is a link to a video that I absolutely love.

 

What it shows more than anything is the important role that wolves play in the natural order, and perhaps that there should be more schemes like this one in place. Seeing them returned to their own environment is just wonderful to see 🙂

    I guess the lesson is that man needs to stay out of nature.
    We live in an area where the woods are everywhere and the trees provide wonderful clean air. People are wanting bigger houses so they are tearing down large tracts of forest and putting in lawn. Im wondering what their children will be breathing.

      True, people always seem to think their own wants are so much more important then the needs of other creatures on the planet, and you do have to sadly wonder sometimes what we’re leaving for future generations. It would be nice to think that programmes like this are a sign that we are realising the importance of getting back to the ‘natural order’.
